WONDERFUL AT WINDWARD

IT WAS A GREAT ARTIST RECEPTION
Windward Vineyard is a lovely setting and it's beauty had a calming affect.
I was a little nervous before the reception began, but Tom wanted to get pictures
to, as he says, "document" the event.
We put out the snacks
and arranged the guest book
and Tom wanted one more shot before the guests arrived.  Here are scenes from the next 3 hours.  I want to thank all of those who attended and of course a my humble gratitude to those who purchased paintings.

Outside, the vineyard continued its winter rest.

And as the crowd thinned down
we took a few moments to enjoy the creative effort of wine shepherd
Marc Goldberg.  After 3 hours of meeting and greeting and the nerves of hosting a reception, it tasted especially good.
Thanks to Mike and Jacque for their help and support, to Colleen and Mark from Indianapolis for their wonderful gift of pears and to Ray and Terri from Cambria for the beautiful roses. Cheers and thanks to Marc, Maggie and Anna and the great team at Windward Vineyard.

Ready for the reception

We've been busy the last couple of weeks, getting invitations out, notices in the paper and planning.
Today we prepared the refreshments that will be served and put the finishing touches on a couple of new pieces.  In addition, I spent a few hours baking bread, cookies and making soup that we'll serve at a luncheon on Sunday.  I'm looking forward to seeing friends and new faces at Windward Vineyard.

HANGING THE WINDWARD SHOW

A RAINY SUNDAY-PERFECT FOR THE PREPARATION
My new show Central Coast Land and Sea runs from now through the end of March.
We spent time today putting up the pieces in the beautiful tasting room of the Windward
Vineyard in Paso Robles.
Friends Jacque and Mike Griffin helped my husband Tom and me select the location and set the individual pieces.
The Windward walls are a warm orange color and catch light from both ends of the long room providing a large display.
If you are in California between now and the end of March, please stop by and take a look at my newest work.  The Windward Vineyard is located near beautiful Highway 46 on the west side of Paso Robles.  It is about half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco and sits in one of the most beautiful areas of California.
The photos were taken by Tom who calls himself my "greatest fan."
